about

On one of the particularly hot summer days in Cologne in 2019, we met to record the music for our duo's second CD.
During our session, the temperature in the small but fine cinema hall of the cultural centre Alte Feuerwache rose continuously throughout the day and reached truly tropical conditions by the time of the evening concert.
For this CD we have now chosen those sonic rivers that evolved during the "melting point" of the day, so to speak, with a few unintended sounds leaking in from the cultural centre's courtyard and thus contributed in their own way to this evening's special atmosphere.

"Sonic rivers, river-novels, overflowing water tables, incongruous leaks, torrents of a season, melting snow, lagoons, waterfalls, geysers, rain ditches, music of pipes, air and wet winds. A recording of outstanding contemporary improvisation at the level of the best outsiders like Urs Leimgruber, Michel Doneda, John Butcher... in a rare dual combination."
